Mr. Jacobson is a partner of Holt Ney Zatcoff & Wasserman, LLP practicing in trial and appellate areas. Some of Mr. Jacobson’s areas of focus are condemnation, land use and general business litigation. His practice also includes appellate work and alternative dispute resolution.
Mr. Jacobson was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1980. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California at Berkeley (Boalt Hall) in 1980, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1977. Mr. Jacobson is an inductee of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Eta Sigma.
A member of the State Bar of Georgia, Mr. Jacobson recently served as the Chair of the Eminent Domain Section. He is the former Chair of the Legislative Affairs Committee of the State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyers Section. Mr. Jacobson also is active in the Atlanta Bar Association, where he is a past Chair of the Litigation Section and a member of the Bankruptcy Section. In the early 1980’s, Mr. Jacobson served as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia in condemnation matters. He was a contributing author of the Georgia Appellate Practice Handbook, 1985 edition, and has served as an editor of The Atlanta Lawyer.
